YES i know its the book cover NO im not changing it because it LOOKS nicer OK. also ive read the book too so shuuuuddup. anyways i dont really have much to say about this or anything here because i don't know as much about movies as i do books but i liked this movie. my feelings about it are so like complicated cuz it was a GOOD MOViE the visuals were beautiful and i LIKED IT and etc but also in comparison to the book. which was ALSO a 6.9/10 so its like woah. what do i even say. well yes the visuals were gorgeous rocky was awesome. stratt got absolutely snubbed and also all of the side characters which kinda sucks considering they were the only female characters in the entire thing? but yknow. uhh yeah. idk. not much else to say. i DIDNT REALLTY LIKE THE SCORE thats a hot take. made me want to play outer wilds again. thas about it. bye

good lord this movie was worth all the hype. like seriously SO GOOD. like really just amazing score, amazing actors, great storytelling great pacing it didnt overstay its welcome at all. i don't know if there's even anything i could nitpick about it. incredibly investing and thought provoking; i love anything that puts a massive emphasis on music and how important it is. it puts a highlight on humanity and culture and the way that expressing ourselves is really integral to Being Human and Having a Soul that cannot be oppressed no matter how hard you try, which i think is a pretty important message in the current day. it also did well by its female characters which you like to see. lots of power given to annie, pearline and grace even though it could've copped out and said women weren't respected/didn't have that much power in this time period. i feel like i'm missing out a whole lot that i could say but i really don't know i find it hard to summarise my feelings about movies the same way i do with other stuff it was just really good. amazing visuals and amazing score too i really really liked the music in this, not just the parts that were part of the story eg the stuff the characters were playing but also the background music felt really theatrical and dramatic and hit hard where it was supposed to.
it felt like a version of from dusk till dawn that had a meaning, took itself seriously and... well.. just generally wasn't written by someone who is quentin tarantino LMFAO. it's a great film. i'd recommend others to watch it if it wasn't for the fact that i'm late to the party, everyone's seen it already and it's award winning and everyone's telling everyone else to watch it already. whatever, the hype is deserved. amazing piece of art.
